A fibre for the future

Sometimes we try to solve our problems by looking to the future, in the hope of finding new and increasingly innovative materials there. But by doing this, we often forget to look back. Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale (National Linen and Hemp Mill) have done so and, for Earth Day, they are presenting an innovative idea for modernising the market. Exploring the Italian agricultural and textile tradition, the linen spinning segment of the Marzotto group has opted to promote the use of natural fibres even outside the textile industry. 

The result is L!NCREDIBLE^® – the new packaging for the horticultural products sector: completely organic and compostable, it perfectly embodies the concept of circular economy. Created in collaboration with KUKU, the established packaging company based in Bologna, L!NCREDIBLE^® will include a range of linen products with the same robustness and durability as similar plastic products, with considerable environmental advantages. In addition to this development, Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale will also act as the ambassador for the transition towards natural fibres in the automotive industry, bringing even further environmental and performance advantages.
