Approaching Fashion Design with an innovative learning method through digital book learning as the most effective way to achieve perfection in the profession. The goal of the Vertical Method is to explore the subject without ‘putting it off’, i.e. to dig down to the essence of the subject right away (the service is currently only available in Italian).
A fashion designer with a diploma in land-surveying and ambitions across various sectors. Artistic talent merges with the rigour of orthographic projections. Passionate about clothing from a young age, he wears a tie whilst winning painting competitions. During his early teaching experience, as a fashion illustration, anatomy and sample making tutor, he was introduced to the subject by the Master Tailor Guido Francioli: going beyond the design was a requirement that arose immediately. After a spell working with a collective, he opened his own studio in 1988. Passionate about ‘concepts’, he designs and creates clothes that have a strong reason for existing. His training has also been bolstered by work experience at industrial, artisanal and tailoring companies. Today, he teaches “mental openness and work tools” at his school (www.bilia.it). THE VERTICAL METHOD sums up the journey that, in his view, each student should go on in order to tackle the infinite.
