Gunold: the art of embroidery

Experience at the service of modernity

The art of embroidery is one of the oldest and most luxurious traditions used to embellish fabrics. Gunold, a family-run German company, has almost 100 years of history and experience in this art.

Now in its fourth generation, Gunold uses only the best raw materials for its yarns and nonwovens to meet up-to-date environmental criteria.

As such, it has invested in the latest production equipment, water and energy saving, but also in dyes and chemicals that do not harm the environment. Most of its products are manufactured in the EU, from raw material to finished yarn. Sustainable thinking also lies behind its modern design ideas, as seen in its use of natural fabrics such as linen, embroidered with natural motifs. Pure cotton yarns, like Cotty, are making a comeback due to their opaque appearance and their natural properties, offering a beautiful natural lustre.
