Lanificio dell’Olivo, committed to sustainability practices for many years, is a virtuous example of how yarn manufacturers can integrate environmentally friendly principles into every aspect of their business. This commitment is clear to see in the company’s careful selection of materials, eco-aware production processes, a robust portfolio of certifications and the annual publication of a sustainability report, demonstrating transparency and responsibility.
Beginning with its A/W 2024.25 collection, Lanificio dell’Olivo has introduced NATIVA™ certification, which sets a high standard for wool fibres. This certification is key for fashion brands as it guarantees: fair labour practices, animal welfare and environmentally friendly production methods; transparency and sustainability throughout the supply chain, responding to the increasing expectations of consumers; and finally, maximum wool quality, working with major merino wool producers around the world. Lanificio dell’Olivo was one of the first companies in the supply chain to work with Process Factory on the 4sustainability® project, an implementation framework and a registered trademark ensuring the sustainability performance of the fashion & luxury supply chain.
As part of this growth journey, the company achieved 4s CHEM Excellence level for 2024, which certifies the utmost care in the management of chemical products and processes. This is the highest achievable level and marks a major milestone for the company, as a result of constant implementation and collaboration with its supply chain.
