Moda Makers back to being
‘in person’ in November

New premises for A/W 2022.23 collections

After three virtual editions of Moda Makers due to the pandemic, November‘s upcoming event will once again see some of Europe’s top fashion companies coming together in person.

From Tuesday 9 to Thursday 11 November, visitors will be able to attend the event’s new premises, the Quartiere Fieristico at ModenaFiere

which is being used following a memorandum of understanding signed several months ago by promoters at Carpi Fashion System and Modena Chamber of Commerce, to which the Moda Makers trademark has been sold, and which in turn named ModenaFiere as the event organiser. The new premises will enable the event to be held safely and in compliance with regulations. Its spaciousness will allow more exhibitors and visitors to attend.

Furthermore, moving under the umbrella of ModenaFiere means Moda Makers will now be on the international trade show circuit, making it one of the official events on the international calendar.

This is a major step forward for an event that has never stopped growing in recent years, as shown by the interest from buyers from around the world, and that now, as we emerge from the Covid-19 emergency, is re-emphasising its vital importance among fashion SMEs. And that’s not all: a virtual showcase of exhibitors’ pieces will be scheduled alongside the in-person edition, teaming the strengths of the live experience with the potential of the web, where the online platform will continue to be managed by Consorzio Expo Modena.

“Signing the memorandum of understanding was a strategic move and an essential prerequisite at this crucial stage,” says deputy mayor and councillor for the economy at the Municipality of Carpi, Stefania Gasparini. “Not only are we glad the event can finally open its doors once again and visitors can explore the stands and experience the work first-hand, but we are also absolutely convinced that the decision to export Moda Makers to ModenaFiere will ultimately be much more rewarding for both businesses and buyers.” Giuseppe Molinari, Chair of the Modena Chamber of Commerce, echoes her words: “With this transaction, the chamber intended to offer concrete support to businesses in the Carpi fashion district, ensuring new premises and an event that has always produced considerable results in terms of visibility and sales and that today can finally be held in person again, at a location that is larger and better connected to the motorways, which will be key when it comes to further expanding the event.”

From the point of view of ModenaFiere, its Chair Alfonso Panzani draws attention to the event’s new potential: “We are confident that this new location will represent a major, strategic step forward in the medium term, allowing real benefits to be gained by the event, by participating businesses and, consequently, by the territory and the textile and clothing district as a whole. If we have taken this decision, it is because all promoters are firmly convinced that the excellent growth prospects of Moda Makers can develop even further, reaching the event’s full potential.”
