Mother | Season Trends
The earth receiving us, hosting and containing us, is the generating force of the universe. Her female soul is as fertile as humus, as welcoming as a mother, as sacred as a goddess. A generous spirit who welcomes and gives, heals and cures. Like Goethe’s eternal feminine, she rises to a symbol of wisdom and mercy, personification of divine knowledge, redemptive thrust that “draws us on high”1. An unchangeable archetype, a cosmic principle, creative and procreative power, moving humanity ever onward, transcending all genders. Woman is earth and earth is the Mother Goddes, the cradle of all beings. She is the shell holding the embryo, cradling the beginning of existence, before it hatches out and gives it away to the universe. Her original power is everywhere: in the fruitful tree, in the fertile soil, in lush nature. She is the wind carrying the seed, the swamp safeguarding the larvae, the sod warming the sapling.
