Hidden | Materials
In the silence, lying on the floor and looking at the tiles on their level. Following the lines in their patterns and guiding the gaze through the light reliefs disturbing the flat surfaces, rather like tone on tone embroidery emerging from a flat fabric. In Hidden, cotton is the main feature. Its two-dimensionality is the backdrop for a range of details, whether light streaks, more or less contrasting stripes or patterns reminiscent of home, like checks and botanical prints. Buttons gain even more importance, adding three-dimensionality to the background. Leather, in intense shades, is as rough as asphalt or as smooth as the paint on a car. Delicate half-hidden prints and subtly refined textures cover slim volumes, at times moved by gentle puckering.
