Theo Silkstone

Theo Silkstone began designing and making furniture out of a simple desire to create beautiful and durable objects. He trained in Materials Science at the University of Oxford, then continued with specialized training at the Rycotewood Furniture School. He now works in his own workshop at the Sylva Wood Centre, just outside Oxford. In addition to his workshop, Theo also plants and manages forests with the long-term goal of producing high-quality, sustainable timber for future artisans. This connection to the entire lifecycle of his materials is reflected in his practice, shaping his creative approach and commitment to thoughtful design.
