Buzzi Studio di Architettura

Buzzi was born in 1955 when Francesco and Brita Buzzi, recent graduates of ETH Zurich, founded the “Buzzi e Buzzi” studio in Locarno. From the “Villa on the Rock” to the “Cubic Landscape” and finally to “Ca Janus,” their projects communicate a material presence, reflecting it on rigorous constructions, responding to the environmental context and its atmosphere. In 2011, they became “Buzzi Studio di Architettura,” expanding their team and scope (collective housing, public competitions, and urban and infrastructure studies). They focus on the search for context-specific spatial solutions, suited to redefining the use of the city and the experience of public and private space.
