ACM presents S/S 2027 and NextPrinting news
New capsule with Federico Barengo
At the latest edition of Milano Unica, held between 20 and 22 January, ACM Dettagli di Moda presented its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, confirming its role as a strategic partner for high fashion brands. The new collection focuses on the company’s core products, leather and metal accessories, with a contemporary, technical and increasingly sustainable approach. The offer includes labels, hang tags, pullers and pockets in neutral tones of leather, heat-treated or combined with decorative metals. The metal component evolves with buttons and accessories featuring a lighter design, mirrored finishes and loom workmanship.
For men, ACM offers buttons in natural materials with customised reliefs and metallic finishes; for women, tortoiseshell-effect resins, glossy or matt transparencies and irregular surfaces set out a sophisticated aesthetic. The collection is divided into three design moods – To Be Connected, To Be Kind, To Be Powerful – to explore different material, colour and sensory visions. NextPrinting is once again the star of the ACM stand, with a series of developments that expand the expressive and sustainable potential of digital printing in relation to leather. The project starts by overturning traditional logic: on the one hand, fabric-effect printing on leather produces surprising surfaces with faithful visual textures and unexpected tactile effects; on the other, leather printing on fabric opens up completely new expressive possibilities, in which grain and texture become key features even on light and versatile backing materials.
The most advanced part of the project is an innovative denim fabric coated with recycled leather powder. In addition to being digitally printable with great precision, this material allows for manual processes such as crimping and scratching, which partially remove the surface layer and reveal the denim underneath, creating unique texture contrasts and visual depth. The collaboration with Federico Barengo, designer and co-founder of the Garment Workshop brand, also continues, presenting a new series of denim garments designed to enhance the creative and sustainable possibilities of digital printing: the processes developed by NextPrinting drastically reduce the consumption of water, energy and chemicals, while increasing the use of recycled materials and processing techniques that reduce waste and scrap.
