Through her practice, Alma Berrow (1992) succeeds to shed light upon some taboo topics. She creates fun and satirical ceramics that take the form of large red lobsters, condoms, shell-shaped ashtrays, or Vichy-patterned ceramic napkins. She is based in London and originally studied Art and Textiles at Falmouth University. It was over the first lockdown due to Covid-19 when she decided to explore the field of ceramics. Since then, she has been transforming chaotic table settings into beautiful, youthful pieces that convey the most contemporary form of still life.
