TOPP ITALIA was established in 1956 out of the desire of the the German Topp family who were the first in the world, in 1945, , to industrialise the production of bias tapes, which up to then were only made by hand. The company quickly became became the Italian leader in the tapes and trimmings market market for the clothing, footwear, home textiles, furnishing and car interiors sector, with an average 40 million metres produced each year.
