Seemingly distant, disconnected, disjointed elements chase one another in the creative dialogue and ongoing research spontaneously generated in the Maison Laponte project. The collection is constructed and designed for layering, although each piece can be worn on its own too. Layering as contaminations, contrasts, contradictions, influences, family memories and new discoveries. The research always begins from a precise visual cue blended with a music track, a poem or a painting that is etched onto the memory of Benedetta Bertolini and Gianandrea Sergi, the personal and professional couple behind the brand. Everything comes together in an irregular, imprecise way, the starting point is lost and one is transported by synchronicity.
