A love story
by Authentico® & Marzotto

Centred on passion and values

At Milano Unica, Marzotto Group is confirmed as an accredited partner of Authentico® by Schneider Group: together they guarantee a complete, transparent, ethical and high quality supply chain for woollen textiles, teaming style and quality with a focus on responsible production and innovation. The tradition and expertise for which Marzotto has been renowned for almost two centuries thus meets the modern and essential need, both on an ethical level and in order to stand out and be competitive in the current market, to guarantee traceability and full transparency of the entire supply chain, from farm to garment, with a conscious approach that identifies the value of the product starting from the raw material which, in the case of wool, involves farms. The evolution of Authentico® fabrics within Marzotto Group with the creative interpretation of the various brands and a particular story to tell, made of love, passion and values.

Ella Edwards, whose family has been farming Bohara, Australia for generations, an Authentico®-verified superfine merino wool farm that restores and protects ecosystems and biodiversity, certainly didn’t choose her wedding dress as an ordinary bride would. Bolstered by tradition and bound to the values in which she believes and on which her family runs its business, her choice went well beyond mere style. Her wedding dress was created with a material specifically requested by the bride from Marzotto, which selected an Authentico® woollen fabric for her. Ella’s story embodies the complete supply chain that the Authentico® system is putting into practice from farm to garment: choosing the raw material from a raw materials producer, and using elaborate processes and painstaking checks to expertly craft the finished garment. Ella’s dress was exhibited at the Marzotto Fabrics stand at Milano Unica alongside new Authentico® proposals designed by companies in the Marzotto Group: Fratelli Tallia di Delfino, Guabello ꟾ 1815, Marzotto Fabrics, Marlane and the womenswear divisions of Opera Piemontese and Estethia | G.B. Conte 1757.

With Authentico® as its partner, Marzotto further expands its traceability and transparency process, as the Schneider Group fibres are verified and traced with criteria and guidelines aimed at all partners in the supply chain, from farmers to finished garment. With Marzotto, Authentico® extends its network, helping to spread a production model in the textile and fashion industry based on the use of wool that is completely traceable and responsible throughout the supply chain, which is part of the journey towards a new generation of fashion based on new values.
