The company based in Carpi, near Modena, has achieved B Corp certification, which recognises the highest environmental protection and social equity standards, thanks to its longstanding commitment to sustainability that has led it to become Carbon Positive, the only company in its sector to do so. Bulgarelli Production has been designing and producing hang tags, labels, paper items and micro-packaging for clothing and fashion accessories for over fifty years. The company’s cutting-edge structure houses its research, experimentation, design, production, logistics and customer care, creating rigorously Made in Italy products made to measure with tailoring methods.
A passionate and forward-thinking capacity that has long given it the understanding that pursuing quality also means taking steps to safeguard society and the environment. The company therefore implemented strategies and measures that would ultimately lead to its becoming Carbon Positive as a result of its holistic approach to sustainability. This milestone is recognised today by the B Corp certification achieved recently by Bulgarelli Production following a rigorous assessment conducted by the non-profit organisation B Lab, developing a comprehensive set of standards covering a vast range of areas, including governance, workers, customers, community and environment.
For Bulgarelli Production, the satisfaction of achieving this certification, which adds to the other equally important ISO 9001, ISO 14064, SA8000, FSC and OEKO-TEX ones it already has, is not so much the recognition itself but ensuring that it is a reliable partner in offering its customers a further guarantee of socially and environmentally conscious products and services, and its employees and collaborators the major motivation to be part of a change that will have a positive impact on the future. “We have to thank everyone that supported us on our sustainability journey,” says owner and CEO Davide Bulgarelli. “We are looking to the future with enthusiasm and determination, in the knowledge that there is still a great deal to be done to ensure a sustainable future for all.”
