Unizip: a vision shaped by passion

A thousand facets of creativity and innovation

Unizip was founded in Modena in 1995. Within a few years, it became a major benchmark on the Italian market for the biggest players in the fashion industry. The company soon expanded its product range with a focus on the latest trends and innovations, offering a comprehensive range of zip fasteners in many variants and technologies. What makes the difference are research and innovation, in which Unizip continues to invest, skilfully merged into a quality concept that does not stop at the finished product but continues afterwards in a personalised customer service relationship.

“I was born into the world of zips. I spent my childhood alongside my parents in the family business, which allowed me to grow up with some fundamentally important values: personal fulfilment through work and the knowledge that it is the contribution of the whole team that enables results to be achieved,” says Unizip CEO Simonetta Pasini. “It’s the passion I have always poured into my work and the professional support of all my co- workers that have enabled me to bring new ideas and products to life, realising every day what matters most to me: turning ideas into real projects and thus jointly contributing to customer and Unizip team satisfaction.”

One of Unizip group’s core values is the sustainable development of its products, as it has always been driven by a strong sense of social responsibility. Along each step of the production chain, and together with its partners, the company uses more and more renewable energy sources in its various production plants. It also treats, recycles and reuses wastewater, minimising waste. In this sense, the idea of technological innovation is mainly through plans to cut energy and resource consumption.

Careful monitoring of emissions allows a constant reduction in environmental impact, along with optimisation of natural resources (such as the increasingly limited use of coal in favour of natural gas).
