YKK Italia presents new Autumn/Winter 2025.26 collection
Increasingly focused on meeting its customers’ requirements
To respond to market trends in the clothing sector, YKK Italia is offering a collection packed with sporty, technical items without sacrificing details that really make a fastener stand out on a garment. This is the case with the Excella® brushed metal zip in the new bright silver finish, which features an ultra-flat, reversible slider making it perfect for double-face outerwear. AquaGuard® sustainable zips feature a water-repellent polyurethane film and Natulon® ribbon in recycled polyester, making it PFAS compliant.
YKK Italia’s signature press-studs come with the FlexFix® system, guaranteeing up to 50,000 open/close cycles without significantly wearing its functional parts thanks to the polyacetal (POM) insert. The collection also includes a stainless steel version, which offers long-term durability without requiring galvanization, making it environmentally sustainable. Furthermore, to meet the increasingly specific needs of leather goods manufacturers, YKK Italia has created a tailor-made service designing new solutions to facilitate the production of certain types of bags, wallets and luggage.
One of these solutions is a zip with adhesive bands on the ribbon, allowing it to be perfectly positioned before being stitched, thus avoiding the use of glue. A second solution allows the folding and sealing of the top of the ribbon (bow fold), greatly reducing the amount of manual labour required. Finally, a third solution laser cuts the ribbon at various points and in different ways as per customer requirements, to adapt the zip to the piece. All these technologies allow finished product quality to be maintained.
