solutions for S/S 2025 collection
New methodology explores made to measure items
Digitalisation has enabled the fashion industry to expand and evolve rapidly through innovative new technologies and design processes. These changes also involve listening to the customer proactively and assertively to find out their needs and come up with solutions that are original and creative but above all ‘exclusive’, i.e. designed according to their particular requirements. At YKK this takes the form of a real tailor-made approach in which product design is shared from the outset, beginning with a feasibility study involving both the customer and YKK’s R&D department, through the search for new materials and finishes, to final product development. YKK’s efforts in this trend towards increasingly customised services result in products that meet current market demands whilst fully complying with environmental sustainability regulations, in the move towards a circular economy.
Here are some of YKK Europe’s most innovative products in the Spring/Summer 2025 collection. Excella® with organic cotton ribbon and customisable bottom stop: zip in brushed metal with soft ribbon in 100% certified organic cotton, in the new size 10 chain, suitable for garment-dyeing with the possibility of customising the bottom-stop. Excella® Natulon® Stainless Steel: with the corrosion and oxidation resistance of stainless steel, these zips are perfect for more discerning applications in the luxury and leather goods sector and for the more technical outdoor and nautical sectors; the zip can be customised in several places: on the back of the slider, on the open parts and, obviously, on the puller. Excella® Natulon® Aquacheat® with Serigraphy Print: zip in brushed metal and recycled polyester ribbon bonded to reflective PU film, the latter is available in several colours and can be further customised with screen printing. Excella® Natulon® with ‘Special Bottom Stop’: zip in brushed metal with wide recycled polyester ribbon for easy stitching, the bottom stop can be created in the customer’s chosen shape and customised with an engraved logo.
Excella® Natulon® with V-cut Tape: zip in brushed metal with recycled polyester ribbon, the ribbon features precisely positioned laser cuts to make it easier to apply the zip to leather or heavy duty fabrics and to meet a variety of requirements, YKK offers a range of cuts to choose from for an array of styles. YKK will showcase its S/S 2025 collection at Milano Unica, Première Vision and Lineapelle.
