Ykk: reliability, technical consistency and enduring performance

The new A/W 2027.28 collection was presented

Ykk® presents new solutions for clothing and leather goods/footwear sectors. As per the brand’s tradition, the proposals team aesthetics and functionality in sync with the Autumn/Winter 2027.28 trends. The new solutions respond to the fashion industry’s need for increasingly technical and high-performance components that can ensure high quality and functional standards on garments and accessories. The collection’s themes fit within this context: Structured Simplicity and Tecno Play for the clothing sector; Sensing Scent and Flat Matters for the footwear and accessories sector.

For knitwear, the collection includes two products specifically developed to make it easier to apply zips to knitwear and delicate fabrics: Excella® for Knitwear, featuring a brushed metal chain with linking tape combined with narrower-than-standard taffeta to make it easier to sew the zip onto the garment, and the corresponding Vislon® for Knitwear version in die-cast plastic with the same technical features. For sportier applications, the collection includes Vislon® AquaGuard®, which has a die-cast plastic chain and polyurethane film-coated tape for an effective water-repellent effect. This is complemented by QuickFree® click-Trak® Magnetic, which has magnets integrated in the two opening parts, allowing quick and easy closure by simply bringing the two parts of the chain together.

For the leather goods and footwear sector, Ykk® mainly proposes Excella® brushed metal zips, featuring a diverse range of solutions with the shared goal of offering targeted responses to the specific needs of the accessories and footwear sector. New additions include Excella® Natulon® with a new Chocolate finish for the chain, which is made using an innovative surface treatment that ensures a matt, uniform and highly durable appearance. The entire Autumn/Winter 2027.28 collection, which also includes other new items, will be presented at Milano Unica (7-9 July 2026) and subsequently at Lineapelle (15-17 September 2026).
