Bottoli and Victoire
on ‘saper-faire’

An encounter between the long-standing Italian wool mill and the super cool French brand

The website of the famous French brand reads: ‘As you know, at Victoire, we love Italy. We love Italians, la pasta, la mamma… and above all, Italian fashion. Looking for the best fabrics, we ended up in Veneto, at Lanificio Bottoli, a family business of Italian spinners since 1861. For our collection, the fabric always comes first, and it gives the tone and the inspiration. Then comes the (co) creation.’

These words sum up the brand’s winning mindset, pay homage to the long-standing wool mill and are the pillars of a collaboration between two powerhouses that represent true Italian-French ‘savoir-faire’. Only, in this case, we could combine the two languages and call it ‘saper-faire’! Fabric masters on the one hand, skilled creators on the other, and this is not the first brand to fall in love with Lanificio Bottoli. But the difference this time is that it is not just a partnership but an encounter with the authentic soul of creation: the dedication of craftsmanship, discreet elegance and the ability to team tradition and modernity. The styles and cut of Victoire garments are modern, compelling, and capable of surprising every season.

Bottoli fabrics are brought to life, enhanced and adapted to a wide variety of garments: from skirts to coats, dresses to accessories. Classic fabrics are revisited and bold colour combinations are assembled. The Bottoli label, featuring the winged Lion of St. Mark, adds the seal and stamp of quality; the characteristic three-dimensionality of the wool mill’s fabrics seems to have been made especially for this on-trend brand in France and beyond. We don’t know why they didn’t get together earlier but we do know that they are perfect together today!
