Lanificio Bottoli once again impresses with its ability to team the creative experience with the opportunities offered by the latest artificial intelligence. At Bottoli’s style department, where ideas for new patterned fabrics take shape, AI is being used under the guidance of illustrious professor and digital art expert Ennio Bianco to offer new prospects to creatives. In this photo shoot, the fabrics, garments, models and set are not real but created with artificial intelligence.
The textures of the fabrics were computer processed according to detailed parameters proposed by the wool mill and the ‘machine’, after multiple ‘learning’ phases, created patterns and designs day after day that were increasingly realistic and more in line with the company’s mood and DNA. Bottoli calls it Natural Intelligence to underline that what the computer came up with only involved the design phase but did not affect the physicality of the fabrics which, both at the prototype and the production stage, were always the result of the creativity and skill of the long-standing wool mill based in the Vittorio Veneto countryside. Ecological fabrics and innovative patterns for clothing with a nod to the future.
