Camac: 45 years of Made in Italy

From weaving to manufacturing

Camac, a fashion business set up in Cesena, Italy, in 1980, is celebrating 45 years in the industry. Since its foundation, it has grown steadily, following a path of specialization and diversification in Italy and abroad with company spin-offs, new business units, acquisitions, and the launch of joint ventures. Over the years, it has become one of Italy’s leading fashion companies for the production and export of top-quality and innovatively designed Made in Italy products. With over 100 people employed in 5 locations and various brands and designers successfully launched onto the market, Camac is one of the most important incubators and accelerators for creative projects and new businesses.

It is the Italian leader in the research and development of product, process and business innovation in fashion and its associated industries. Thanks to its flexible organization and integrated collection management,
Camac’s clients can count on a one-stop-shop for everything from yarn to finished garment, with clear advantages when it comes to quality, timing and reliability. By analytically and systematically reviewing all the stages involved in creating a fashion product, starting from a brief, Camac can propose a collection concept that leads to the formulation of a moodboard, then on to the choice of colours and materials, up to the technical design of the product and its prototyping, without of course neglecting compliance with sustainability principles.

For its own production, Camac uses a vast range of organic and GOTS-certified yarns, or yarns sourced from the circular economy recycled in accordance with GRS certification. Clients also have access to a portfolio of fabrics, techniques and variations that includes organic, Made in Italy, exclusive and custom fabrics, thanks to a 4,000 m2 warehouse that makes Camac Industria Moda one of the main players in market trend research for printed and knitted fabrics.
