Centergross announces internationalisation plan
2nd edition of Bologna Fashion Festival also presented
On 27 March, President Piero Scandellari set out the new strategic plan that will take Centergross companies to international markets to increase and strengthen their presence abroad. He also announced the programme of events in Italy, first and foremost the second edition of the Bologna Fashion Festival to be held in the city from 11 to 13 September. Scandellari set out the Action Plan 2025 in the presence of Vincenzo Colla, Vice-President of the Emilia-Romagna Region with responsibility for Economic Development, Green Economy, Energy, Vocational Training, University and Research, and in liaison with Marco Panieri, Deputy Mayor of Bologna metropolitan city.
The plan outlines the district’s future challenges and objectives, aiming to strengthen the role of Centergross as an international fashion hub and as a strategic centre for services, logistics and mechanics, closely linked to the productivity of the Bologna area. The main news in the plan is the international missions that will take place at major trade shows and events, with the support of the institutions, the Emilia-Romagna Region, ICE, ITA, MIMIT and Embassies, thus consolidating the presence of the Bologna district on foreign markets. The first took place from 10 to 12 March in Almaty, Kazakhstan, where Summer in Italy, the Spring/Summer collections fashion show that from this year becomes a travelling event, made its debut. The initiative was held for the first time at Central Asian Fashion (CAF) in Almaty, one of the most prestigious fashion business fairs in Central Asia.
Here, five top brands (Souvenir, Efi D’Angiò, Gil Santucci, Sophia Curvy and Maxfort), led by Centergross Export Manager Riccardo Collina, presented their collections in a dedicated Centergross exhibition space and at two fashion shows. The strategic plan will continue with other international events thanks to projects supported by Emilia-Romagna Region tenders: Dubai, from 8 to 12 May, for the VFW Vie Fashion Week World Trade Center, confirming the importance of this city as a global hub for the fashion business; Japan, after the summer, with participation in various initiatives during the Osaka/Tokyo Expo.
