At the presentation press conference, Centergross Chair Piero Scandellari said: “Putting on a collective show is a considerable investment both for Centergross itself and for its businesses and backers, and it involves a great deal of participation from everyone. This edition confirms once again Centergross’s strategic decision to lead the project to create the International Ready-Made Fashion Hub in Bologna and we are working, through events such as Summer in Italy and Winter Melody, which showcase our brands’ collections, on other initiatives designed to bring on board many other institutions and parties in the territory.” “The International Ready-Made Fashion Hub is a major project involving 700 businesses over 1 million square metres,” says Marco Panieri, deputy mayor of Bologna Metropolitan City with responsibility for Economic Development, Trade, Manufacturing and Subsidiaries. “We have an opportunity here to reiterate how we as institutions must work together to foster synergies throughout the Emilia Romagna Fashion Valley, and especially in the Bologna Metropolitan City. The two events organised by Centergross, Winter Melody in September and now Summer in Italy in February, are a great opportunity to showcase new collections, so we thank the businesses taking part in this show because they are representing the Fashion Valley and what we are also trying to express more broadly, here at the heart of Italy and Made in Italy.” The event will be live-streamed on Centergross’s official platforms (its website and Instagram and Facebook pages).
