Rete Rubicone Moda: makers
join forces

New footwear sourcing portal now online

After more than 2 years in planning and development, Rete Rubicone Moda (reterubiconemoda.it), a network of subcontractors (and others) in footwear accessories and components based in the Rubicon valley, has finally launched. Comprising 17 businesses, the network includes approximately 650 employees – almost 20% of the area’s entire workforce – with skills capable of handling all the necessary processes to make luxury shoes, and has been developed by CNA Forlì-Cesena with technical support from CERCAL.

In addition to being based in the same region, the businesses are all highly specialised in manufacturing components. The 17 founding businesses in the consortium are: Puntoart, Angelini, Bianco Accessori, Calzaturificio Catia, D.D.S. Design, Giglioli Production, Giovagnoli, Greymer, Italsform, Maglificio DA.NI., Smart Leather, Pazzaglia, Ramones, S.I.L.C.E.A., Soledan, Tacchificio Zanzani, Tranceria Modigliani. “We have finished the formal act of incorporation, in the knowledge that we have laid the groundwork for a project unlike any other in Italy, which creates collaboration between forward-looking businesses with a focus on territory and innovation,” said newly-elected Chair Paolo Raggini of Puntoart.

Rete Rubicone Moda is clearly a commercial arrangement, but it is also looking to the future and working towards goals such as ethical qualification, circular economy and supply chain traceability.
