Entire leather supply chain on show at Futurmoda 56

Before a collection hits the runway, before a designer picks out a colour, before a brand works on a silhouette, the materials that will make all this possible have already been developed, tested and showcased at Futurmoda. The 56th edition of the International Trade Show for Leather, Components and Machinery for Footwear and Leather Goods returns to IFA Elche, Alicante, on 14-15 October 2026. Over 300 exhibitors representing the entire supply chain (natural and synthetic leathers, fabrics, components, soles, chemicals, machinery and design services) will gather at one of the historic centres of European footwear manufacturing to showcase the materials the industry will be working with for Autumn/Winter 2027.28.

For international fashion professionals, Futurmoda is not just a trade show, it’s the earliest and most palpable glimpse into the material reality of the upcoming season, where trends stop being mere concepts and become tangible products. “We are seeing a clear trend towards leathers with a bold character: a pronounced natural grain, expressive surface treatments, and finishes that enhance the material rather than mask it.
