Futurmoda 55 kicks off: industrial transformation across the sector

Cutting-edge machinery for footwear and leather goods presented

The 55th edition of Futurmoda, to be held on 4 and 5 March at IFA-Fira Alacant, reinforces its role as a strategic platform for the industrial modernisation of the footwear and leather goods sector. It is set to showcase a wide range of cutting-edge machinery designed to boost efficiency, precision and competitiveness at every stage of the production process. The machinery area will present advanced solutions for automatic and smart cutting of leather, textiles and synthetics, including moulding and pattern-making systems, laminating and heat-setting technologies for the development of new constructions and technical materials, as well as stitching and upper machinery with specialised technical support and immediate availability of spare parts.

Moulds and industrial solutions for the production of TR, rubber, EVA, TPU and PU soles will also be on display, consolidating a comprehensive offer for the sector. In addition to the trade show, the Experts Forum will once again be a key space to get ahead of the main regulatory, technological and educational challenges facing the industry. Wednesday 4 March will begin with a session on the new European Ecodesign Regulation (ESPR) and the Digital Product Passport, exploring the practical implications for textile and footwear companies and culminating in an industry-specific round table on regulatory compliance.

Afterwards, the Remain project, focusing on smart robotics applied to remanufacturing and the circular economy, will be presented, as well as the Sustainability Guide for the textile and footwear sector, a tool created to support companies in their voluntary reporting processes. Finally, the Sustainability Guide for the textile, footwear and clothing sector will be presented, promoted by the Textile and Fashion Observatory and the General Council of Economists in collaboration with the Innova Group. On Thursday 5 March, the round table organised by CPS del Calzado will address sector-specific training programmes and upskilling in response to new technological and sustainability requirements.

Finally, SDI will present ‘Growth is not about doing more: how to organise data, processes and teams to scale up’, focusing on business organisation and smart data use. With this combination of technological innovation, high-performing machinery and high-level strategic content, Futurmoda consolidates its position as an essential meeting point for companies committed to industrial modernisation, sustainability and competitiveness in the new European framework.
