Futurmoda: over 5000 visitors and 300 exhibitors

53rd edition of Spanish trade show concludes

Futurmoda closes its 53rd edition with a more than positive balance, once again consolidating its position as the landmark event for the footwear and leather goods industry. In just two days, the trade show, held in the halls of IFA-Fira Alacant (Alicante), counted not only 5,000 visitors and 300 exhibiting companies, but also a significant influx of professionals from all over the world.

Technological innovations in the footwear sector, such as 3D printing, laser cutting and engraving, sole injection and process digitisation, were presented during the event, confirming the industry’s growing interest in modernising production processes and reducing environmental impact. The event also addressed the issue of sustainability in its Green Planet space, where innovative solutions based on recycled, biodegradable materials and eco-efficient production processes were showcased, with the aim of highlighting that ecology is a fundamental pillar in market development.

A great new addition at this edition was the Futurmoda Lab Talent competition, which allowed young people to showcase their talent by linking them up with the manufacturers attending the fair. Following the success of this 53rd edition, Futurmoda will meet on 25 March at 7 p.m. at the Elche Congress Centre for the presentation of the Autumn/Winter 2026.27 Trends, a unique opportunity for designers, manufacturers and professionals seeking to anticipate the new fashion trends for the upcoming seasons.
