Futurmoda’s 56th edition delivers excellent results
Autumn/Winter 2027.28 collections on show
Futurmoda, the international trade show dedicated to components, hides, fabrics, machinery and solutions for the footwear and leather goods sectors, has concluded its 56th edition. The event, held on 14 and 15 October at IFA-Fira Alacant in Elche, welcomed almost 3,800 visitors, including industry professionals and members of the general public. This turnout is close to the target set by the fair’s organisers.
Álvaro Sánchez Concellón, CEO of AEC, commented after the event: “We aimed to attract over 4,000 visitors and we came very close.” He added that “given the circumstances, the result is extremely satisfactory”. This edition saw the participation of 171 companies focusing on the Autumn/Winter 2027.28 season. Over the course of the two-day event, the Experts’ Forum addressed the issues of design protection and intellectual property, industrial competitiveness and the application of artificial intelligence in business.
On 20 October, the Spanish Association of Footwear Component Manufacturers (AEC), in collaboration with TrendStop, hosted a presentation on trends for the Spring/Summer 2028 season at the Elche Conference Centre.
