Lineapelle celebrates
Italian leather and materials

Lineapelle Interiors launches second edition

From 25 to 27 February at Fiera Milano Rho, Lineapelle, the world’s most important business experience for the fashion, luxury and design supply chain, presents the second edition of Lineapelle Interiors, its exhibition project dedicated to the combination of leather and materials with furniture. Floors, walls, tables, chairs, screens, sofas, bedrooms and bathrooms to promote, enhance and implement the innovative excellence of the interior design industry. The partnership between Italian companies producing leather and innovative materials and designer labels will be on display in a 1,000 square metre space inside Lineapelle’s Hall 24.

Here, 19 + 1 installations will illustrate the developments of a dialogue that is opening new paths in interior design. Beginning with the “high quality of Made in Italy leather, which becomes a source of inspiration for architects and designers,” said Fulvia Bacchi, CEO of Lineapelle and CEO of UNIC – Italian Tanners. The installations making their debut at Fiera Milano Rho are the result of a collaboration between 37 companies in 19 duets, in which an Italian upholstery manufacturer using leather and other materials works with a design studio, including international ones.

“The transformation of semi-finished Made in Italy products into designer products helps to convey their value, increasing their attractiveness on an international level. From the conception of new products to the identification of new markets, research and creativity are the intangible infrastructure of the Italian Design Economy: a system supported by a manufacturing business culture and a solid training network, both capable of attracting talent at an international level,” said Maurizio Molini, creative director of Lineapelle Interiors. The end result is a range of projects that highlight technological innovation and the application of leather and other materials through new solutions for interior design, all waiting to be discovered.
