Texhibition Istanbul – 8th edition: innovation, trends, and the future

Strong growth in visitor numbers and sector confidence

From 10 to 12 September 2025, Texhibition Istanbul took place at the Istanbul Expo Centre, hosting 524 exhibitors across 42,850 square metres spread over five halls. The fair showcased the entire textile supply chain: from fabrics, yarns and accessories to denim, lace, embroidery, and prints. With over 24,000 professional visitors — 7,000 of whom were international buyers — the exhibition recorded an overall increase of 6.7% compared to the spring edition in March, and an impressive 16.9% rise in international visitors. This growth further cemented Texhibition’s status as a global sourcing platform.

Around 100 exclusive B2B meetings were held with prominent buyers such as Hugo Boss, Burberry, Patagonia, Revolve, About You, and Guess, underscoring the event’s international relevance. A key highlight was the dedicated Blue Black Denim area, where 24 leading brands showcased sustainable technologies, trends, and creative concepts — reinforcing Turkey’s role as the world’s third-largest denim producer. Texhibition Istanbul also confirmed its role as a creative trendsetter through a rich programme that included trend seminars by Zoom on Fashion Trends and WGSN, as well as the Innovation Hub, Trends Lab, and ReValue Stock Hub.

Anna Maroncelli for Zoom on Fashion Trends offered a comprehensive overview of colour and material trends for Autumn/Winter 2026.27, along with a preview for Spring/Summer 2027. Meanwhile, Tamara Cloé Leguía for WGSN provided an in-depth technical analysis of trends for A/W 2026.27. The programme also featured numerous panels with high-profile speakers addressing key topics such as biomaterials, artificial intelligence, digitalisation, carbon footprint reduction, and funding models. Contributions from research, craftsmanship, and industry shed light on the multiple perspectives shaping the future of the textile sector.

Texhibition Istanbul has secured its place on the global calendar, attracting increasing international interest year after year. It showcases the production power, sustainability vision, and innovative approach of the Turkish textile industry on the world stage. As the world’s fifth-largest textile exporter, Turkey stands out in global markets with high-quality fabrics and knitwear. Texhibition Istanbul has become one of the strongest reflections of this success. And once again, this edition became a key meeting point for international buyers,” declared Fatih Bilici, Vice President of ITHIB and Chairman of the Exhibition Committee.
