Monticolor presents
Autumn/Winter 2025.26

Keyword: rework

Rework is the concept behind Monticolor’s Autumn/Winter 2025.26 collection. In these changing times we need a new story, leaving behind the reassuring era of quiet luxury and discreet change. The input comes from a grand imagination that teams past and future, tradition and innovation. The result is an explosion of creativity across three style lines, in which reality merges with fantasy, becoming pure wonder. The Brescia-based company has ploughed unceasing research into product development, aiming to rework without forgetting its identity and customary focus on the environment and sustainability.

Gourmandies, inspired by enfant terrible Marie Antoniette, the last queen of Ancien Régime in France, challenges gender norms and conventions. It reworks unusual juxtapositions of intimate and romantic elements, such as vintage velvet and cosy textures, creating a new irreverent sophistication revisited by cashmere blends, furry effects and blends resembling candy floss. Summits evokes the gorpcore trend and fuses the functionality of outdoor pieces with traditional tartan and Aran cables. Slub and organic effects mix with merino blends, sustainable chenille and fluffy yarns in vibrant, sporty colours. The perfect combination of practicality and contemporary style, ideal for those seeking adventure without sacrificing elegance.

Work Space travels between past and future through the Sixties Space Age and ’90s minimalism to a hypothetical intergalactic work station with retro architectural details. Second-skin fine technical knits are converted into uniforms with three-dimensional effects that look 3D printed. The new Merino Connections project provides a sensory, enveloping and emotional experience, broadening Monticolor’s offering and expertise and confirming its ability to win over top global brands with its high quality yarns. The volume of Merino Extrafine wool is combined with the fineness of organic cotton using sophisticated techniques, resulting in Hug Merino and Craft Merino fibres.

Finally, Sense of Cashmere shows off Monticolor’s expertise with cashmere, pairing it with Curly Sense cotton to create a soft bouclé blend in which fluffy roving creates voluminous curls heightened by a gently elastic core. My Sense and Live Sense come in a new palette of vibrant, sophisticated colours while Five Sense and Seven Sense add more twisted versions with 3D textures to emphasise the raised pattern. Organic Sense is a model under development that provides eco-friendly solutions, while the vast range of natural, organic and certified yarns available demonstrates Montirone’s company more than 30 years of experience.
