S/S 2023 yarns from Marchi & Fildi and Filidea at Pitti Immagine Filati 90
Collaboration with students from ITS TAM in Biella to create a seasonless garment
At the ninetieth edition of Pitti Immagine Filati, the Marchi & Fildi and Filidea stands exhibited original pieces created in collaboration with second-year students on the Knitwear Design and Development course at ITS TAM in Biella.
Making a comeback in recent collections, the gilet is a genderless and seasonless garment that is easy to mix and match and suited to any style.
Under the supervision of Fausto Caletti, the designer behind Marchi & Fildi and Filidea collections, and the tutors at ITS TAM, the students came up with knitted gilets using yarns from the Spring/Summer 2023 collection in colours from the overview lines. The creative journey involved not only designing finished garments but also looking after every step of the process, within the limits required by the project.
Each gilet was on show numbered and identified with the name of the student who designed it.
