Artificial intelligence in fashion
BibiUff’s digital creations
It is no secret that artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly spreading through the fashion world – the recent AI Fashion Week held in New York in April attended by over 350 ‘creators’ was another sign of it – but few could have imagined that it could have such an effect on the fashion industry in such a short time. From creating garments to planning fashion shows, AI is changing the way a number of fashion designers think.
One of these is certainly Barbara Regazzi who, after 20 years ploughing curiosity and enthusiasm into her work as a ‘classic’ designer, has joined the artificial intelligence community under the pseudonym BibiUff. Drawing inspiration from well-known artists, musicians and designers, and mixing in the visual work of directors such as Kubrick and Wes Anderson, Barbara has integrated the use of software (Photoshop and Midjourney to name but a few) to create new projects. BibiUff is convinced that AI can transform the industry: its application could lead to new intuitions and approaches to fashion trend research, indeed designers could generate moods that go beyond mere clothing.
Its Instagram account is constantly updated with its innovative and eye-catching designs with a view to seeking out new collaborations in all areas. It will be very interesting and exciting to see how the application of this technology will develop in the coming years and how it will change the fashion world.
