Digitalisation and Sustainability:
A+A 2023 for safe, healthy work

Workplace standards set

A+A 2023, the world’s leading trade fair for Safety, Security and Health at Work, came to an end after four exciting days with an extremely positive balance. Under the strapline “Inspirations for a better Work Environment”, the trade fair set new standards and seamlessly followed on from the success of previous events. 2,200 exhibiting companies from 58 nations in total presented their products and innovations in 12 halls over more than 80,300 square metres. Approximately 62,000 trade visitors from 140 countries travelled to Düsseldorf to obtain information on all relevant topics concerning the working environment. An impressive 96.4% of visitors confirmed that their expectations of their visit to the trade fair were more than fulfilled.

Success factors: highly relevant topics, complete line-up of ranges and innovative content. This time, two of the most important megatrends of our time were placed centre stage: digitalisation and sustainability. The innovations in the field of workplace digitalisation, which were presented for the first time at the trade fair, proved particularly noteworthy. Smart wearables and PPE, order apps for hazardous materials management, AI-based health coaches as well as virtual reality applications and exoskeletons are examples of technologies that lead the world of work in a digital and sustainable direction. These developments not only support workplace safety but also help to increase efficiency and create healthier working environments.

“This year’s A+A has addressed current issues and challenges, provided food for thought, demonstrated approaches to solutions and promoted personal exchange. We are delighted with the positive feedback and would like to thank everyone for the trust they have placed in us,” summarises Lars Wismer, Director of A+A, and adds: “It was great to see how the trade fair as a platform inspires, connects and drives the industry forward.” The next A+A will be held from 4 to 7 November 2025.
