KainHalal™ to ‘show’ in Milan
Fabric with regenerated fiber using cotton linters obtains Halal certification
The fabric made in Indonesia with regenerated fiber using cotton linters has obtained Halal certification. Branded as KainHalal™ (meaning Halal textile) and manufactured by PT. MilangKori Persada, it is the world’s first fabric to be Halal certified at national level and is the world’s only Halal product in the textile category. To promote KainHalal™, a series of fashion shows called Indonesia Global Halal Fashion (IGHF) 2024 will be held in major cities around the world with the backing of Indonesia’s Ministry of Religious Affairs BPJPH.
Events are planned in Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, London, Milan, Paris and Istanbul. In addition to leading Indonesian designers, the Minister of Religious Affairs and his wife will also attend the show set to take place in Milan on 19th September.
